Safari Details
Day 1: Pick Up and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
On this Day, you shall meet your guide for the next 10 Days Uganda Primates and Cultural Safari and take you through a briefing including parks to visit, accommodation centres, and activities to do on the tour. Later you shall embark on a 5 – 6 hours journey to Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal Tourism City for your lunch and later enroute to the park. Kibale National Park is Uganda’s primate capital of the world popular for habiting over 1500 chimpanzee Individuals that make it a popular chimpanzee trekking destination. The park is located in western part of Uganda thus will give you a chance to take beautiful scenic views of the country. Arrive at the lodge and check in for your dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Explore the communities in Kibale and Evening Bigodi Nature Walk
Rise Early in the morning and explore the communities around Kibale National Park. You will have a chance to indulge in the community activities such as traditional dances, visiting local farms, and fishing around the lake and later head back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you shall embark on a thrilling Bigodi community Walk that will introduce you to the traditional preparation of local brew with ripe bananas. You shall have a farm to cupping experience and later transfer back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After a hearty breakfast, you shall pack your chimpanzee trekking documents and items and later gather at Kanyanchu Visitor’s information center for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking regarding the rules and guidelines while observing the chimpanzees. You shall be divided into groups of 8 and assigned with park ranger guides for a successful experience. On finding the gorillas, you shall be granted 1 full hour of experience while observing the gorillas in their natural sanctuary. Later you shall receive your Chimpanzee trekking certificate from the Uganda Wildlife Authority and later Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at the Uganda Equator in Kikorongo. Arrive at the lodge and check in your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Day Relaxation and afternoon Boat Cruise
After breakfast, you shall have a morning relaxation at the lodge and later proceed for an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel that shall take you for about 3 hours giving you a chance to spot a variety of wildlife species such as Hippos, elephants, buffaloes, monitor lizards as well as different species of birds. Later you shall drive back to the lodge for a relaxed dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Lion Tracking Experience – Kasenyi Sector
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge and embark on a thrilling Lion tracking experience in the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Kasenyi sector is known for a diverse array of wildlife such as Lions, leopards, elephants, Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks as well different kinds of birds. Imagine getting up-close with magnificent wildlife in just your safari car. Later you shall drive back to the lodge to enjoy a relaxed dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Ishasha sector
After an early game drive, you shall embark on a thrilling game drive in Kasenyi sector of the park for about 3 hours and later transfer to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha sector is popular for Tree climbing lions that are rare in the national parks of the world. Upon arrival, you shall check in your lodge for dinner and overnight. You shall enjoy a relaxed evening game where you shall have rare sightings and end your day with a beautiful sunset.
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and CTPH tour
Rise early in the morning and transfer to Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in the southern part of Uganda and popular for habiting half of the world’s mountain gorillas making it a popular gorilla trekking destination in Africa and the whole world. Arrive at the lodge and check in for your lunch, dinner and overnight stay. In the evening, you shall visit the Community through Public Health (CTPH) for promoting biodiversity and enabling local communities through donating some health and medical care. Later, you shall drive back to the lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening and overnight stay.
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking
Finally, the long awaited comes and you shall have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and later gather at the Visitor’s information center for a briefing about gorilla trekking including the rules and regulations. You shall be divided into groups of 8 people and later be assigned with park rangers for a successful gorilla trekking experience. Embark on a thrilling gorilla trekking expedition through the lush forests of Bwindi as you spot other wildlife animals including different bird species. On finding the gorillas, you shall be granted 1 full hour of experience as you watch the gorillas play and feed the young ones as well as learning about their behaviours and lifestyle. You shall then drive back to the lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening at the lodge.
Day 9: Batwa Community Experience and Ride for a Woman Experience
Early in the early morning, you shall, wake up and have breakfast at the lodge and later embark on a Batwa Community Experience that allows you get deeper insight on the traditional way of life such as hunting, traditional dances. In the mid morning, you shall gather Ride for a woman community for the next afternoon and evening experience. You shall participate in all activities at the camp such as traditional preparation of local foods, coffee roasting, traditional dances and folk songs, basket weaving and other activities. You shall have a chance to enjoy on the food you shall have prepared such as Luwombo and matooke. Later you shall drive back to the hotel for overnight stay and relaxation.
Day 10: Fly from Kihihi Airstrip and Connect with your flight at Entebbe International Airport.
Rise Early in the morning with a mouthwatering breakfast and transfer to Kihihi Airstrip to connect to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home as you conclude your 10 Days Uganda Primate and Cultural Safari.
