Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport and Welcome to Uganda

Your journey begins in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. A guide welcomes you at Entebbe International Airport and transfers you to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a gentle city tour that introduces you to Uganda’s lively urban culture, colourful craft markets and welcoming atmosphere. This is the perfect moment to relax, adjust and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo and Ankole Cultural Experience

After breakfast, you travel to Lake Mburo National Park, a peaceful savannah dotted with wildlife and rolling hills. In the afternoon, you visit a nearby Ankole community where you experience cattle milking, traditional food tasting and storytelling sessions centred on the long-horned Ankole cattle. The day ends with an evening game drive in the park.

Day 3: Drive to Bwindi and Batwa Cultural Encounter

You continue southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the magnificent mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, you visit the Batwa community, the ancient forest dwellers who share their hunting techniques, songs and forest survival skills. The experience highlights the deep relationship between people and the forest that once served as their ancestral home.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Adventure in Bwindi

Early in the morning, you head into the dense rainforest with experienced rangers to track the mountain gorillas. Spending time with these gentle giants creates unforgettable memories. After the trek, you enjoy a relaxed nature walk or lodge activities as you recover from the adventure.

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Iby’Iwacu Visit

You cross into Rwanda, a country of rolling hills and rich traditions. In the afternoon, you visit the Iby’Iwacu cultural village where local performers showcase traditional dances, storytelling, banana beer making and royal rituals inspired by Rwanda’s ancient kingdom. The visit brings you closer to the heritage of the Banyarwanda people.

Day 6: Kigali Cultural Tour and Flight to Nairobi

The day begins with a cultural tour of Kigali, including local markets, craft centres, art galleries and historical sites that tell the story of Rwanda’s resilience and cultural pride. You later fly to Nairobi for the Kenyan part of the safari.

Day 7: Drive to Masai Mara and Masai Homestead Visit

You travel to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Before entering the park, you visit an authentic Masai homestead where you learn about age set traditions, cattle culture, beading crafts and warrior dances. The evening is spent inside the reserve, enjoying your first game drive.

Day 8: Full Day Wildlife Experience in Masai Mara

This day is dedicated to exploring the Masai Mara’s unmatched wildlife. Expect close encounters with lions, elephants, cheetahs, hyenas and seasonal wildebeest herds. The vast savannah and rich wildlife sightings create the perfect balance between nature, culture and adventure.

Day 9: Transfer to Serengeti through Isebania Border

You continue your journey to Tanzania, crossing into Serengeti National Park. The plains open up into an endless landscape filled with wildlife. After settling into your lodge, you enjoy an evening game drive as the sun sets across the horizon.

Day 10: Serengeti Game Drive and Optional Masai Visit

The day begins with a game drive across the central or northern Serengeti, followed by an optional cultural visit to a Masai community living near the park. The experience allows you to compare and appreciate cultural practices shared between the Kenyan and Tanzanian Masai groups.

Day 11: Lake Eyasi Visit to the Hadzabe and Datoga Tribes

You travel to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and the Datoga blacksmiths. This is one of the most unique cultural experiences in Africa. You join the Hadzabe on an early morning hunting walk, learn how they gather honey and listen to stories around the fire. Later in the day, you visit the Datoga who demonstrate traditional iron smelting and bead making.

Day 12: Return to Arusha and Departure
