25 days Uganda safari is one of the longest holidays in Uganda and you will have a chance to exploit the beauty of this country which is a pearl of Africa. You will have to visit all the 10 national parks that Uganda celebrates, you will also be exposed to the hidden treasures that Uganda boasts with, this safari will expose you to great activities such as game drives in the open savanna parks which are decorated with a huge number of animals, be sure to enjoy water activities especially the boat cruise where you will not only enjoy the cruise but also the nature that surrounds the water bodies.
Uganda is a home to wildlife such as big 5 of the jungle and these are; elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, lions, leopards. The jungles also harbor endangered primates and these are chimpanzees and mountain gorillas and these can be found in their natural habitat. The magnificent culture of Uganda and her welcoming people is another treasure that one has to celebrate while on this safari, you will have a chance to visit Ssesse Island on Lake Victoria which is the largest in Africa shared by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to the hotel
Upon arrival, our company representative will be waiting to warmly welcome you at the airport, he will greet you, take you through the itinerary and thereafter, he will transfer you to the hotel where you will have to spend an overnight as you get ready for your fantastic safari. This night you can decide to taste on the Uganda local food.
Day 2: Transfer to Jinja
Unfold your day with a delicious breakfast, check-out and face off your day with great anxiety. You will head to Jinja and you will have an en-route in Mabira forest to spot some animals like baboons, red tailed monkeys, birds, you will have to visit Ssezibwa falls, take magical pictures and embark on the journey to Jinja.
Arrive in the noon time, check-in your hotel, have lunch and thereafter go to see the source of the Nile, proceed to do a boat cruise, enjoy seeing the green vegetation that engulfs the river, you will spot a huge number of birds, visit Itanda falls as well and then in the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Travel to Pian Upe game reserve
Arise in the morning, have a delicious breakfast, check-out and transfer to Pian Upe game reserve which is the second largest protected area in Uganda. You will drive in the eastern part of the country and this will reward you with views of Mt. Elgon, you will have lunch in Mbale and embark on your journey. You will arrive in Pian Upe in the evening hours, check-in the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Game drive in Pian Upe reserve
Arise in the morning on a delicious breakfast, head to the jungle to meet the animals when they are very active. Pian Upe reserve is unique in a way that you will spot lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, ostriches, leopards, antelopes among other species. You return to the lodge for lunch and then in the evening you will go for an evening game drive to spot nocturnal animals and this is the best time for you to see them retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
This is another beautiful day for you to get lost into the wilderness, wake up on a delicious breakfast, check-out and transfer to Uganda’s most isolated national park. You will arrive in the afternoon, you will relax at your lodge, have lunch and dinner as rejuvenate for the remaining exploration days.
Day 6: Game drive and visit IK community
Arise in the morning on a mouthwatering breakfast, meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the jungle to catch the animals in the morning. You will be able to see lions, buffaloes, visit different kopjes and animal viewpoints, ostriches, cheetahs and leopards will be on your bucket-list, expect to see oribis, hartebeests, elands to mention but a few.
Return to the lodge for hot lunch or have packed lunch from the park, and in the evening you will engage in IK community on mountain Morungole. You will meet so many animals as you gain height to see this special tribe. After you have met this group, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
You will wake up on a delicious breakfast, meet your driver guide, check-out and transfer to Murchison falls national park, Uganda’s largest national park that boasts for hosting the strongest waterfalls as well. You will have lunch in Gulu city, proceed to Murchison via Tangi gate. Arrive in the park in the evening hours, check-in the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Game drive and boat cruise to the delta
Wake up on a delicious breakfast, meet your driver guide and the ranger to take you to the jungle to interact with nature and what it’s bestowed with. Immediately you face the jungle, you will meet elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and lions will be roaming looking for buffaloes and antelopes to feast. This morning game drive will expose to the great view of the sunrise over the tropical forests which harbor birds like king fishers, eagles, spur-fowls, ground hornbills, baboons, monkeys among others.
Return to the lodge for lunch, take a nap and later engage in the boat cruise to the delta. This is a rewarding activity which will expose you to the mature stage of the Nile and it favors the flourishing of animals, thereafter, you will enjoy seeing animals the shore, animals like buffaloes and elephants will be swimming at the shore, spot shoebills, another fantastic moment is seeing the sunset, thereafter, then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Visit top of the falls and transfer to Kibale National Park
This is another day for you to hit the road to Kibale national park. Wake up on a delicious breakfast, check-out with an en-route to the top of the falls to catch the view of the strongest waterfalls from above, embark on the journey, with an option of having en-route tour to Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will be tracking wild rhinos.
Proceed on the journey to Kibale, lunch will be served in Hoima city and arrive at the lodge in the evening, check in, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Wetland
Arise in the morning for yet another interesting activity, head to Kanyanchu which is the park’s head quarter, you will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking. After you have met the chimpanzees, you will be given an hour to spend with chimps, enjoy how they play, how the old chimps feed and discipline their young ones. You will later retire to the lodge for lunch, in the evening expect to visit Bigodi wetland which is another beautiful extension of Kibale forest with different animals and birdlife, after here, you will wind up your day by heading back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Check-out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Arise in the morning at your time of convenience, enjoy a hot breakfast, check-out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is another day that is bringing you closer to the great treasures that Uganda has to offer. You will have an en-route to twin lakes to capture the pictures and then embark on your journey, arrive at the lodge in the afternoon time, check-in, have a hot lunch and then relax.
Day 13: Game drive and boat cruise
Arise in the morning, greet your intestines with a delicious breakfast and head to the open savanna grassland of Queen Elizabeth National Park that harbors millions of kobs, buffaloes, elephants, bushbucks, waterbucks, kobs. These are found around Kasenyi sector and you will be able to spot lions, leopards and hyenas closer to antelopes, you will later return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will do a launch cruise on Kazinga channel where you will have an endless look of water which are filled with schools of hippos, crocodiles, birds among others, enjoy the sunset on the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Transfer to Bwindi national park
Arise in the morning at your leisure for breakfast, check-out and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Here you will have entered a home of mountain gorillas and you are sure to see gorillas in the next day. Upon arrival in the park, check-in, have lunch, relax and overnight stay.
Day 15: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural tour
This is the long awaited day for you to explore the beauty of Bwindi. You will have breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking experience. You will be assigned a gorilla family o track, then head to the park to meet your relatives. You will spend an hour with gorillas, take pictures and videos, and return to the park headquarters to receive your gorilla trekking certificate, freshen up, have lunch and in the evening you will visit Batwa.
Day 16: Travel to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
You will arise in the morning for a leisure breakfast, check-out and transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park for yet another great experience to. Mgahinga is a famous destination in Uganda where you can track gorillas and golden monkeys. This is also known as the destination where silver meets gold. You will arrive in the afternoon, check-in the lodge, have lunch and then relax at the lodge for dinner.
Day 17: Golden Monkey Trekking
A beautiful day is here, arise in the morning, grab a delicious breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the golden monkey trekking, you will later go to search for golden monkeys which you will find in the bamboo forest, you will take about 30 minutes to meet the monkeys, an hour will be given to you to spend with monkeys, return to the lodge for lunch, relax and have dinner.
Day 18: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Arise in the morning, enjoy a fantastic breakfast and head to Lake Bunyonyi to have a unique feeling of being on a deepest lake. You will check-out and transfer to Bunyonyi, arrive in the afternoon, check-in the lodge, have lunch and dinner.
Day 19: Canoeing and Zip-lining adventure
You will wake up in the morning at your time of convenience, enjoy a scrumptious a breakfast and head out to the lake to engage in canoeing. You will visit different islands, especially the punishment island where the girls who used to conceive before official marriage would be dumped till death, you will also visit Kyahugye Island which has animals. You will return to the lodge for lunch, and afterwards, you will engage in Zip-lining.
Day 20: Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo national park
Another day for you to enjoy a smooth transfer to Lake Mburo national park which is the closest national park to the capital city of Kampala. You will have an en-route to Igongo cultural center where you will have a touch of Ankole culture, you will enjoy the stories, proceed to Mburo, check-in, have lunch and dinner.
Day 21: Game drive and boat cruise
You will wake up in the morning head to the park to catch the animals when they are still very active. You will be welcomed by the herds of zebras, buffaloes, elands, giraffes, birds, enjoy sceneries, return to the lodge for breakfast, relax, have a hot lunch and then in the afternoon go for a boat cruise to spot high concentration of hippos, Nile crocodiles, birds among others, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 22: Transfer to Mabamba Bay wetland to search for the Shoebill stork
You will wake up in the morning, check-out of the lodge and transfer to Mabamba bay wetland which is a haven of birds. It is found on the shores of Lake Victoria, you will have a stopover at the Equator to take pictures then proceed to Mabamba bay. Here you will go on a canoe ride to explore the numerous bird species, especially shoebill stork.
After the activity, proceed to Entebbe, arrive in the evening, check-in the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 23: Cross to Ssesse Islands
You will arise in the morning and head out to search for the birds, this is the best bird breeding place and it’s a home to over 370 birds and it’s a nice place where you can spot shoebill, you will later transfer to Ssesse Island where you will arrive in the evening, check-in the lodge for dinner and overnight.
24: Island drive and boat cruise
You will wake up in the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast and head out for the Island. You will have a clear view of the Lake, visit BIDCO company, solar company, enjoy the view of palm tree plantations, return to lodge for lunch, in the evening, go for a boat cruise on the lake then retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
25: Check-out and departure
The last leg of your trip, arise in the morning have breakfast and then transfer to Entebbe for your flight back home and this will mark the end of your safari.
