Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Early in the Morning, you shall meet your Guide for the 3-Day Christmas gorilla trekking tour and brief you about the tour. Later, Kickstart your journey of Kampala with beautiful views overlooking the city. You shall have a stopover at the Uganda Equator for the  Equator water experience and later proceed the journey with a lunch break in Mbarara. After Lunch, you will drive for the next 2 – 3 hours and check into your accommodation for the next day’s Gorilla trekking. You will have dinner and later have a pre-briefing about gorilla trekking, most especially what to pack and the dos and don’ts. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda, spanning an area of 321 sq km. It is home to a variety of flora and fauna species, including 75 mammal species such as mountain gorillas, L’Hoest Monkeys, vervet monkeys, black and white-tailed monkeys, red-tailed colobus monkeys, Forest elephants, forest hogs, giant hogs, buffaloes, and antelopes.

Bird species such as blue-headed sunbird, Grader’s broadbill, black-faced rufous warbler, handsome francolin, purple-breasted sunbird, Ruwenzori Apalis, yellow streaked greenbul, Shelley’s Crimsoning, regal sunbird, olive-breasted greenbul, mountain masked Apalis, Neumann’s warbler among others. The park is famous for mountain gorillas, and it attracts both local and international tourists who come for gorilla trekking and other wildlife safari activities. Mountain gorillas can be traced in only 3 countries Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. Travellers who are planning to embark on a 3-day gorilla trekking tour should remember that gorilla trekking can also be done in Rwanda and Congo.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi Experience

Have an early morning Breakfast, pack your gorilla trekking items and transfer to the Visitor’s Information Center. Arrive at the park head quatres and register for your gorilla trekking certificate. You will have a briefing from the park rangers before entering the park such as, do not eat in front of the gorillas, do not litter in the park, do not go leave your gorilla trekking group, do not feed the animals, follow the instructions as directed by your guide among others. You will be grouped in groups of 8 people where only 8 people visit a particular gorilla group per trek and assigned 2 park rangers for a safe gorilla trekking experience. Embark on a gorilla trekking experience through the dense forests in search of gorillas with a variety of wildlife viewing opportunities.

Upon meeting the gorillas, you shall spend only 1 hour of encounter as you learn about their behaviours and lifestyle, please remember to collect gorilla trekking memories from your safari and later you shall descend back to the starting point where you will be awarded gorilla trekking certificates. Meet your guide and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening canoe experience on Lake Bunyonyi. You shall be led by our experienced representative in Lake Bunyonyi for an amazing canoe experience taking you to the Historical Islands of Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is located in southwestern Uganda and is the third-deepest lake in Africa with over 29 Historical Highlands such as Punishment Island, Kahungye Island and others. The canoe experience takes you for about 2 to 3 hours and later return and meet your guide, and proceed to check in your next accommodation.

Day 3: Transfer back to Entebbe International Airport and Departure

Earl in the morning, wake up with beautiful views of the sunrise and a Mouthwatering breakfast as you prepare to conclude your 3 Days Christmas Gorilla Trekking Tour safari. After your breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on a 7 to 8-hour journey back to Kampala with a lunch break at the Equator.
