3 days Virunga national park gorilla tour is an amazing short gorilla tour that is going to expose you to 2 countries that is Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. These 3 days, you will be exposed to the beauty of nature and what it has to offer.

Gorilla trekking in Virunga National Park will expose you to mountain gorillas in Congo which are relatives to those in Uganda and Rwanda. This tour will begin from Rwanda and then back to Rwanda.

Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to eastern Congo

Upon arrival, our driver guide will pick you from the hotel/airport, brief you about the 3 days gorilla trekking in Virunga then embark on the journey. This is going to take you about 4 hours, connect to Goma town in Congo, check-in the lodge, enjoy a hot lunch and wait for gorilla trekking in the next day. You will spend the rest of your day admiring the nature around your lodge, you will be spotting some animals and birds as well.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Virunga National Park

Arise in the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast and be transferred to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about gorilla trekking, you will also be assigned a gorilla family to track then embark on searching for gorillas in the thick forests. After you have met these gorillas, you will be allowed to have an hour with them, and then return to the lodge for relaxation, lunch and dinner.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali and departure

You will arise in the morning, enjoy your breakfast and transfer back to Kigali. After arriving in Kigali, you will do a short city tour, visit genocide memorial center, you will also visit different artisans and local markets, then have an en-route for lunch and later be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
