Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Meet your guide and he will brief you about the 4 Days Uganda Budget Tour and later embark on a thrilling 5-hour Journey to Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover at the Uganda Equator for photo moments that welcome you to the pearl of Africa and souvenirs. Proceed on the journey to the park. Lake Mburo National Park is one of Uganda’s savannah National Parks covering an area of about 260sqkm and home to about 68 mammal species including Giraffes, Zebras, Buffaloes, Hippos, Elands, Jackals, antelopes and other mammal species as well as different species of birds. The park is ideal for Nature walking activities, game drives and boat cruises on Lake Mburo. Arrive at the park in the afternoon, have your lunch served at the Lodge and proceed for an evening boat cruise on Lake Mburo which will give you a chance to spot hippos, crocodiles and other species taking you for about 2 hours Later head to your accommodation for your overnight and stay.
Day 2: Morning Game drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Have an early morning breakfast and catch up on an early morning game drive that will give you chances to witness giraffes in their natural habitat, zebras, antelopes and other animals for about 2 to 3 hours and later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park taking you for about 4 hours with a stopover in Mbarara for Lunch. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is Uganda’s premium gorilla trekking destination with over half of the world’s Mountain gorillas that can be traced in Uganda Rwanda and Congo. The park is also home to other wildlife species such as forest Elephants, baboons, monkeys, buffaloes, and different species of birds such as the handsome francolin, purple-breasted sunbird, Ruwenzori Apalis, yellow streaked greenbul, Shelley’s Crimsoning, regal sunbird, olive-breasted greenbul, mountain masked Apalis, Neumann’s warbler and other wild species. Expect to encounter some of these magnificent creatures during your gorilla trekking experience. Arrive at the park in the evening and check in your accommodation. You shall have a pre-briefing about gorilla trekking and those concerns about what to pack for gorilla trekking such as hiking gear and passports. Enjoy your Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge as you prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi Experience
Enjoy a Mouthwatering breakfast at the Lodge and drive to the Visitor’s Information Center, the starting point of Gorilla trekking. On arrival, you shall be requested to provide your passports for proof and register in the visitor’s book for gorilla trekking. You shall have a briefing about gorilla trekking that concerns the rules and guidelines while observing the mountain gorillas. You shall be divided into groups of 8 people who are allowed to visit a particular gorilla group and assigned park rangers. Embark on a 5 to 6-hour gorilla trekking experience with viewing opportunities in the park such as bird species, monkeys and baboons as you continue in search of the endangered mountain gorillas.
Upon meeting the gorillas, you shall be granted 1 full hour of experience with the mountain gorillas as you learn about their behaviours and lifestyle. At this point, remember to collect as many photographs as possible because this is sometimes referred to as the adventure of a lifetime. From this experience, you shall descend back to the starting point and be awarded gorilla trekking certificates making your gorilla trekking experience a memorable adventure in the pearl of Africa. Head back to the lodge and have your lunch as you prepare for the afternoon Lake Bunyonyi experience. Embark on a canoe ride taking you to one of the famous Islands of Lake Bunyonyi rich in History and amazing stories your guide will take you for the next 2 to 3 hours and later return to the Lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer back to Entebbe International Airport and departure
Early in the morning, enjoy your breakfast, check out and prepare for the next journey as you prepare to conclude your safari. Embark on a 6 to 7-hour journey to Entebbe International Airport with a stopover at the Uganda Equator for Lunch and later proceed to Entebbe International Airport for your Departure.
