Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Meet and greet your guide, who will take you through a briefing of the 5-day tour, including activities and destinations to visit. Later, you will embark on approximately 6-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Uganda Equator for photo moments and later proceed to the park. Arrive at the park and check into your lodge. Enjoy a relaxed evening as you unwind from the long journey and a peaceful overnight.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge and later head out for a guided game drive into the park. Early morning game drives are the perfect time to spot wildlife in the park. Game Drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park are usually done in the Kasenyi grounds, which are rich in dry savannah and home to over many animal species. The game drive shall take you about 3 hours, return to the lodge for your lunch and relaxation. After lunch, you shall take a thrilling afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George to Lake Edward. You will have a chance to spot elephants bathing on the channel waterside, elephants lounging in water, crocodiles basking in the sun and other waterbirds. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Community Tour
After a heavy breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to Kyambura Gorge for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking, including the rules and guidelines to follow when observing the chimps. Later, embark on a guided chimpanzee trekking experience with the help of a park ranger who will take you through the forests of the gorge. Once you find the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees and later return to the base and drive to the lodge for your lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to a community experience of the Banyaruguru people. You will have a chance to participate in the traditional dances, coffee roasting, and traditional folks giving you a chance to learn about their traditional lifestyle and way of life. Return to the lodge for a relaxed evening and overnight dinner.
Day 4: Crater Drive and Night Game Drive
After a mouth-watering breakfast, embark on a thrilling crater drive that introduces you to the crater lakes of the park, including Lake Katwe, Lake Nyamunuka, and the twin crater lakes offering breathtaking and magical views that will help you capture beautiful photo moments. Return to the lodge for lunch and a relaxed afternoon. In the evening, you will have an early dinner at the lodge and later head out for a thrilling night game drive with the help of a park ranger which is a perfect time to spot wildlife including nocturnal animals such as lions, leopards, hyenas and other wildlife. The night game drive will take you about 3 hours and later return to the lodge for a peaceful overnight.
Day 5: Return to Kampala/Entebbe and End of Tour
