This 5 Days Uganda wildlife and gorilla tour takes you through the memorable game viewing in Queen Elizabeth national park with possibilities of meeting face to face a wide variety of animals like elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, cobs to mention a few and a thrilling boat ride on the famous Kazinga channel.
The safari involves also mountain gorilla trekking in the hilly forested landscapes of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is a world heritage site the UNESCO.
Day 1: Arrival at the airport Entebbe
Arrival at the airport Entebbe and your guide will pick you and take you overnight hotel.
Day 2: Explore Kazinga Channel, L. Edward and Game Drive
After a very early morning breakfast you will set off for a 417km which is approximately 7 hrs drive journey from Kampala. You will go through the beautiful green country side landscapes before arriving for lunch at your lodge.
After lunch you will take a boat cruise for two hours exploring the magical offerings of Kazinga channel Uganda. Including the sights of water birds and wild game drinking along the channel banks.
This channel stretches from Lake George to Lake Edward which is also shared Uganda and DR.Congo.
After 2 hours of cruising you will come back and have a sun set evening game safari along the channel track as you connect to the lodge for dinner and over-night relaxation.
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth national park to Bwindi Impenetrable Park
This day you shall wake up very early in the morning for a cup of coffee before setting off for the game drive activity in the savannah of Queen Elizabeth national park.
This early departure at 6:00am gives you an opportunity to see night hunters like hyenas getting back to their dens and then early risers setting off to look for what to eat.
This morning game drive will give you an opportunity to the encounter of animals such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, the elusive leopard, Uganda kobs among others.
After searching for about 3-4hours you will be transferred to bwindi impenetrable national park, a distance of about 300km approximately 7-8 hours drive arriving in the evening for relaxation.
Day 4: Gorilla tracking in the Bwindi forest
This long awaited day, you will wake up early to take breakfast and then your driver be guided to the park headquarters at 8:00am for briefing.
After briefing you will set off for gorilla tracking in the Bwindi forest. The activity can take from 2-8hours and one hour is available to you to interact with gorillas and take photos. You don’t have to forget a packed lunch with you as the tracking could be longer.
After tracking you will be brought back to the lodge for an evening relaxation.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe airport
After breakfast you will be transferred back to Kampala or Entebbe airport. You will have a lunch stop over midway the journey and after lunch you start the journey again and take a stopover at the equator line crossing found at kayabwe town arriving late evening to mark the end the safari.
