7 Days Uganda Primates and Wildlife Tour: Most primates have a comparativley big brains, sensitive and opposable digits, good depth of vision. Uganda is home to 20 primate species with Kibale Forest National Park containing the highest density in all of Africa with a total of 13 including the recently discovered Dwarf Galago. As well as the chimpanzee and gorilla, the black-and-white colobus, red-tailed monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, l’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, and olive baboons can be seen during game drives, launch trips or nature walks, along with smaller nocturnal species such as the bushba and potto. Mgahinga National Park also contains one of the last remaining habitats of the endangered golden monkey.
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed our guide or else he will pick you from your hotel in Entebbe and then transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. The drive to Bwindi will take between 7-8 hours. You will have a stopover at the equator for breakfast (and also take photos) and a lunch stopover in Mbarara town. As you drive, you will be able to see Uganda’s country side and the beautiful views of the kigezi highlands. Dinner and overnight in Bwindi.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
Have early morning breakfast at the lodge and then drive to the park headquarters to have a short briefing about the gorilla trekking Rules and regulations , and later enter into the jungle to start the search for the endangered species (Mountain Gorilla Trekking). Gorilla Trekking in the jungle will take you around 4 hours or more and you will be allowed to spend an hour with the gorillas after return to the park headquarters for the gorilla trekking certificate, proceed to the lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park (through Ishasha)
After Early morning breakfast, you will start to drive to Queen Elizabeth national park and doing a game drive in Ishasha sector to search for the tree climbing lions, buffalos, warthogs, elephants, and different antelopes like waterbucks, kobs, and topi among others. Continue to drive to the lodge.

Midrange: Twin lakes safari lodge.
Day 4: Game drive and boat cruise
We shall wake so early in the morning, proceed to the park to engage in an early morning game drive to view the early morning risers in kasenyi track, get chance to view many animals including; lions, elephants, solitary buffaloes, kobs, antelopes, etc. These animals can be view at a closer range.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch as you prepare to enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, were your eyes will be fed with variety of water animals and birds.
The wildlife species include; the crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, pink backed pelicans, saddle billed stork, the malachite kingfishers.
Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 5: Transfer to Kibale forest national park
After breakfast, you will do a morning game drive around the park and transfer to Kibale forest national park.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi walk
Early in the morning after taking breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking.
By 8:00am, you will be starting your search for the chimpanzees within the park. These primates are the closest relatives to the human being and they share 98% of their DNA with that of the human beings. You will expect to spot the chimps jumping from ne tree to another as they go about their daily activities. And as you trek the chimps you will expect to spot other primates that live in the forest as well as birds. Return to the camp, refresh and have lunch.
Later in the afternoon, you will visit Bigodi swamp which is also good for watching primates and birds. It’s mainly maintained the local people and they earn a living from there. You will enjoy many bird species here including; the great blue turuco, and many more, the other primate species to view here include; the baboons, mongoose, otters, bush pigs as well as the bush bucks. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 7: Drive back to Kampala
After breakfast at the camp, you will check out and then transfer back to kampala. This journey takes about 5 hours. The guide will drop you at your hotel in kampala/Entebbe or at the airport for your flight back home.
