Description

Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport – Kampala

You’ll be personally met by our company representatives upon arrival at Entebbe airport, transfer to Kampala for overnight stay and dinner, we shall offer you a free Airport pick from Entebbe Airport to Namirembe Guest House.

Day 2: Kampala–Kibale National Park-Fortportal

Set off early in the Morning at 6:00am English time to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads, forests, farms lands and Tea plantations along green vegetation cover. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. You shall have Meals and overnight stay at Rwenzori View Guest House.

After lunch Head on for an afternoon Chimpazee Tracking experience or visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary from where you will take on a guided walk around the Swamp which will provide you with the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna. View a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking OR Bigodi Walk and later transfer to queen Elizabeth NP.

After early breakfast, report at Kanyanchu Tourist Centre where tourism activities begin and set out to track chimpanzee in the forest. Chances of viewing the chimps are over 90% but not a guarantee. Kibale National Park is one of the beautiful and stunning forests in the Uganda. It is home to our closest living relatives the endangered Chimpanzee, the threatened Red Columbus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. The forest also boasts of having one of the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa totaling 13 species including the Black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey-cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey and Bush babies and Pottos.

After Chimpazee tracking or Bigodi swamp walk or take a Crater lake drive having a stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” As you head for an afternoon/evening Launch cruise at 4pm along the Kazinga Channel – one that joins Lakes Edward and George. The cruise is a wonderful way to see hippo, buffalo, kob and the occasional Nile crocodile (which up until recently did not inhabit this area) and a spectacular bird watching on the water bank.

Many who experience the launch cruise consider it the high light of their entire African safari. Return for dinner and overnight stay at Bush Lodge.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth NP – Bwindi

After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park viewing the mystical Rwenzori Mountain ranges as you head for a morning Game drive to look for Lions, Leopards, elephants and many more,  after you will drive along the deep and wide dry craters that are occupied by savanna grasses and acacia. The drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment and the (southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park) Ishasha sector, you will drive to the Ishasha River and take your packed lunch overlooking the Hippos relaxing and sun bathing in the flowing river. After you will take on yet another game drive in search of tree climbing lions before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes about 4 hours but driving through interesting features. You shall arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening. The forest itself is lush and green and there are streams running through it. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Friends Lodge.

Day 5: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking

After early breakfast, you shall set off with guides to track the gorillas. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets because the park is often wet. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each gorilla safari encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display.
Time permitting, spend the afternoon on a community foot safari and experience to explore the life style of the people living and surrounding the park. Return to the Lodge exhilarated to relieve the encounter with friends over a drink and a snack. Overnight stay at Gorilla Friends Lodge

Day 6: Bwindi – Lake Mburo National Park.

After early breakfast, start your long day drive to Lake Mburo for hot lunch at the hotel, relax afternoon and then head to the park for an evening game drive. animals to see may include Buffalos, special elands which are known to be the biggest antilops, impalas, and big cats for example leopards, beautiful sceneries among others.

Day 7: Lake Mburo – Entebbe.          

After an early Breakfast you shall  do a game drive as you head out of the park straight to Entebbe Airport for your departure back home, with a stopover at the Equator monument for photos, water flower experience, souvenir and craft shopping, later transfer to Entebbe Airport to catch up with your fright back home.

The above safari package includes: Airport transfers, Transportation by a 4WD Tourist modified Van Air conditioned, accommodation and meals as per the itinerary, Hot lunches on the way, one Boat cruise tour at Kazinga channel, One Chimpanzee permit per person in Kibale National Park, One Gorilla permit per person to be secured and paid for in advance, Park Entrance fees, Community visits, Community walk experience in Bwindi community after Gorilla tracking in Bwindi forest, Services of an English speaking Driver/guide, Enroute lunches, Game drive fees, enough bottled drinking water in the car, A free Airport pick up and another free Airport drop off.

However, the package excludes: expenses of personal nature like: Visa, drinks, laundry, tips to local guides, telephone, porter fee while trekking, personal insurance, and tobacco and alcoholic drinks.
