4 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is is a home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, hippos, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, baboons and birds all typical riverine savannah habitats and the famous Kazinga Channel. In the Southern Parts is the Ishasha sector with the tree climbing lions and the Maramagambo forest, one of the largest surviving natural forests in Uganda.

The Northern part is traversed by the equator and is dominated by the scenery of crater lakes with lots of flamingos. We shall spend the overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Katara Lodge/Enganzi Lodge



Day 1: Depart to Queen Elizabeth

After breakfast, we shall depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, with lunch en route. With beautiful lakes and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley, this is truly the most breathtaking scenery in the park. The park spreads over an area of 1978 sq kilometers in the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley 418 km from the capital Kampala and takes approximately 6 hours.

Day 2: Game drive and Launch Cruise

After breakfast, go for a morning game drive which rewards you with an opportunity to view the big cats as well as a diversity of antelopes, elephants, buffalo, and a number of birds, return to the Lodge for Lunch and some relaxation before, going for an afternoon 2 hour launch cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects lake George to Lake Edward. The launch cruise will gift you with a chance to see a number of water birds, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes grazing on the shores. We shall spend the overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Katara Lodge/Enganzi Lodge

Day 3: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Early morning we depart for a brief game drive up to 10am, and later depart for Lake Bunyonyi, lunch enroute at the Great Lakes museum and later drive to check in at the lodge, in the evening at 4pm set off for the sunrise boat cruise and Tour of the Lake. (Eco lodge Resort, Bunyonyi over land resort, etc.)

Day 4:  Drive back to Kampala

Early in the morning, after late breakfast and relaxation, set off for Kampala, lunch enroute at Agip Hotel in Mbarara, continue with the journey and make a brief stopover at the Equator for handcraft markets, coffee drinking, simple walk and taking photography.
