Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National park.
Today, have early breakfast and be ready for pick up your tour guide to transfer to Kibale national park reaching in the time for lunch. In the afternoon, you may head out for an optional community walk to visit the crater lakes region where you will have spectacular views of the Lakes. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Forest camp
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking – Bigodi swamp tour
Set off early morning after early breakfast and set off to assemble at the Kibale park headquarters 8:00 am for briefing on chimps tracking. Enter the forest in search for chimps. The search can go up to 4 hours. Return for lunch and after which head out for a community visit to the Bigodi swamp for bird watching and later return to your lodge Dinner and overnight at Kibale Forest camp.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park – Afternoon Boat Cruise
Set off early after your breakfast at your hotel for Queen Elizabeth National Park on a 4 – 5 hours’ drive. You will get to your lodge in time for lunch and in the afternoon, relax. Dinner and overnight at Marafiki Safari lodge.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive – afternoon boat trip
Today you will set off quite early with packed breakfast and head out for your early morning game drive to catch sight of the early risers. This is the best time to see wildlife along the Kasenyi trail. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs and quite a number of others. Return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, go out for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. Return to your hotel for Dinner and overnight Marafiki Safari Lodge
Day 5: Drive to Bwindi through Ishasha Sector.
Have breakfast to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park, a home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas for trekking experience. The journey goes through the Ishasha sector famous for Tree-Climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Mutanda Lake resort.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi
Your day begins with an early cup of coffee and your guide will drive you to the Bwindi park headquarters where all visitors going for gorilla trekking gather for briefing about conduct / behavior when you meet your gorilla family. Trekking for gorilla in Uganda usually last 2 – 7 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.
A head guide will escort you into the forest plus an armed guard in search for your gorilla group. Once you meet the gorillas, you are allowed 1 hour with the gentle giants. After trekking descend back to the park head offices where you will meet you guide to drive you to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Mutanda Lake resort.
Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala and Departure
After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala with en route stopover in Mbarara town for Lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Kampala with en route stopover at the Equator for a photo session and buying souvenirs.
